I believe I posted this once before a while ago. I have been doing very well and then yesterday something hit me hard. I could not really tell that it was my stomach in particular but it seemed to be. It felt like my stomach and every fiber of my body was shaking. A little visable when I held my hand out but nothing like I felt inside. I tried to type and my wrists were even weak. My first thought was stroke or heart attack but I have had this feeling in my stomach alone and especially after I have taken an Ambien the night before for sleep. I had other meds to take and feel there might have been some drug interaction also. Finally I took some Pepto and it seemed to subside for a while and then came back. It is almost gone today but my stomach still doesn't feel right but not shaking. Skipped all my pills today(nothing earthshaking I couldn't miss) Has anyone ever had this feeling. Just felt like everything was jumping around inside my body. Blood pressure was good, pulse normal and oxygen normal. Does anyone else take Ambien? Unfortunately that is what is covered on my medical. Thanks

I feel like I have small birds trapped in my intestines when I get into sugar alcohols. I don't know if I'm actually allergic to them or not, but they tear me up something bad! I've also gotten shaky/jittery on caffeine pills. Sounds like Ambien just doesn't set well with you, like sugar alcohols don't set well with me.

Sometimes insurance will give you a special dispensation to go on another drug if the only one they cover gives you a bad reaction. I'd call your dr. and tell him you're having bad side affects and can he get your insurance to let you have something else?

I don't have advice, but I too have something similar... it's like part of my abdomin is spasming, and I can place my hand on it and feel it. It's weird, and I don't know what causes it. :(

I often feel like my heart is racing, but not in a pounding way... my carotid pulse will feel faint, but fast, and I feel numbness in my body, particularly my hands and feet. If it happens at night as I try to sleep, it feels numb all over, but if I pinch any part I can feel the pain no problem... maybe it's more of a light tingling than numbness. Regardless, it's scared me numerous times at night, and I don't know what on earth causes it.

Thanks, it is pretty much gone now so apparantly it was the Ambien. I will try a half a one and see if it is OK but only when necessary. My Dr. doesn't like me to take anything because of lung problems. I did buy some Melatonin but have been afraid to take it for some reason even though I bought the lowest dose. This doesn't feel like anything else I have ever felt, have felt butterflies and that sort of feeling but this feels like I am made of jello in my whole body including my crotch area. Disconcerting to say the least.
