Okay, not to be graphic, but after constant diarrhea since March 15th this year, I THINK I had a normal BM today!  yeah The only wierd thing is that it was soft, large, and long, in volume, but definetly formed. (Sorry to be grose again!)  Is that normal??  I forgot what "normal" is. Maybe somebody can help me out.  I don't want to be all excited over nothing.

I think that this so called "IBS-D" may be stress induced.  Recently married, moved to a new town, job is hectic, trying to sell our house, etc.  I'm thinking it's the culprit, but who knows why anybody has to live and deal with this AWFUL syndrome.  You think you're dying because you can't figure out why you're running to the bathroom 10 times a day with diarrhea, everyday.  I thought I had IBD, chrones, celiac, cancer...you name it, I thought I had it.  For anybody who has this problem - HANG IN THERE!!  Believe that it will get better, trust your Doctors, and look here at healingwell for help.  (It has helped me so much and THANK YOU for the support and encouragement.)

I have gained about 8 pounds back since July (yea for me!)   My hair is still falling out, but I think it is slowing down a bit.  I have new hair growning in it's place. It may take a year to look like it used to, but it's only hair.  It will grow back.

Again, thanks and if you can fill me on the scoop of normal BM's, I'm all ears.

Thanks!

All I can say is well done Shelly. I remember you posting ages ago about your stress, and that it could be a factor. I'm glad you're feeling so much better and a normal BM is nothing to sneeze at. Well done Shelly all the best!

I heard that the most perfect, "ultimate" poo will come out in one long stool and form an "s" shape in the toilet (lol, i dont think you can not be graphic when talking about poo). So it sounds like you have achieved quite a feat! :) Congrats!!!!

tongue  Shelly I am so happy for you!  I am also pretty sure my D is from anxiety.  Remember, I had mine since Feb and around June started having a normal one now and then.  Sometimes I have gone for a couple days having no D.  Especially if I can make it through the morning without going.  Good luck!!!!!

I am so happy for you Shelley.  It gives me hope that mine will ease up soon too!!!

I really believe mine is also stress induced.  I have had mine for about a year and a half. All the tests that have been run on me came back negative.  Before this happened to me, I too, was recently married, changing jobs, financial problems, etc.  And things really haven't changed except I have been married longer.  I was laid off my job, got a new one, now my husband has been laid off his job (but he startng a new one Monday), we are in debt passed out eye balls, have creditors/collections people calling us day in day out...Just this week we were scrownging for money for rent, and low & behold my D came back in full force!  I am hoping for things to lighten up a bit now that my husband is going to back to work, but we will see?  I am a stressed/nervous person by nature, I try and try to make myself not be that way, but it runs in my blood... mad   I am going to be getting back on anti anxiety meds soon, so hopefully that will help!!!  Sorry for the complaining...it's been a long 2 months!!  redface
