Well when I went to the gastro a few weeks ago they did a test for IBD, Crohns, and Celiac dis. and they all came back normal, so I guess this is "just" IBS like he thought. Which puzzles me cause IBS is usually not supposed to wake you up at night and mine sure does, quite often actually. But I guess they'll leave it all up to the colonoscopy, which I have yet to schedule.
Well about a week after the blood tests and my initial gastro visit, I had an ultrasound of my abdomen, and I knew things were fishy cause it was taking forver, and they were measuring something that did not look like any organ. Well the nurse told me yesterday that I have 2 cysts on my liver. One on the left, and one on the right which is quite large. I get pain in that area alot, and just the night before I was in pain for about 2 hours. I always attributed it to my IBS, or even ovulation pain, but I think that it's the cyst. I'm not sure what they're going to do about it. I am supposed to get a call from radiology today to schedule a CT scan, hopefully sometime this week.  I'm just ready to get what ever is going to happen over with.

Hi Kim,
Sorry to hear of your ultrasound results. Maybe it explains your pain and nocturnal awakenings. ??? Hopefully it is something the docs can "fix" and you won't be stuck with "just IBS."
Best wishes for a speedy diagnosis.... I know the waiting is torture.
