I have had really a lot of intesinal pain lately which seems to be from the gas. As soon as the gas was released it felt better but then came back. Nothing was helping this time so took a half a Valium figuring it would relax the muscles and it seemed to work very well. Has anyone used a muscle relaxer for intestinal pain? A neurologist recommended it once for my neck pain and said that was the original intention of Valium, not the same as Xanax and Ativan. Anyway, it has been relief. Only took a 2.5 but what a relief. Perhaps this is more muscle than I thought which is why the heating pad works pretty well. I just wasn't able to use it today.

Canyon, glad you found something that helped! :-) There's almost nothing worse than cramping and not being able to do a dang thing about it.
