Like NH66 said, don't beat yourself up over it. We all do it. We get ahead of ourselves and then pay for it later. Sometimes, however, it is worth the pain. Like NH66 I save the bad foods for the weekend. I eat my pizza on Friday night so that if I have any issues it will not interfere with work. I also take extra probiotics and/or Beano when I've been bad. I think that helps.
You know what works for me when I'm up feeling bad... Tea. It is soothing and relaxing and usually I get to feeling a little better by the time I'm done drinking my cup.
