I suffer from C also. I also get mucus in my stool which is very common in IBS and nothing to be alarmed about
unless its blood tinged. Clear, white, and brown mucus is normal. I'm sorry that the barium messed you up, that is the first time I heard of it giving long term problems. Its important to drink lots of water to flush out the barium after your xray because of the tendency to harden up and the risk to obstruct your bowels.
