Hi to all my HW friends.   Been awhile since i posted.      I had a bad bought of my late May--early June.   Then went to Dr.--got back on Librax---got it under control--w Librax & Calcium.
Now--in last week--it's returned (after stopping my meds)--but---i notice it comes back w a "veangeance"....whenever i feel depressed.
Does anyone else here notice that correlation?   Please--get back----I've noticed this connection for years!

I don't have the problem but they do use antidepressants for IBS in some cases. Apparantly the stomach contains more seratonin than the brain and the newer antidepressants work with seratonin in some way so this maybe be what you are experiencing. My friend was put on Paxil and she was not clinically depressed at all but it really helped her a great deal.

I often notice issues during times of anxiety or major stresses in my life. I can defniteley say that IBS can be triggered by emotions. I am an expert at it. LOL Try positive thinking. I know that sounds silly, but it works. Try Digestive Advantage.
Always grateful for the blessings I do have!

It sounds like your emotions and your IBS are probably playing off of each other which is not uncommon at all. The Librax should help you with anxiety problems but I'm not sure if it would help with the depression. The tricyclic antidepressants are said to help with IBS-D as well as depression so that may be a candidate for you while the SSRIs usually help with IBS-C. I hope you can get some relief soon.
