I don't know anything about your other condition but I know a lot about kidney stones, as I suffer from chronic stones. Stones can be formed by urine staying into the kidney for too long. If a stone is small, they usually let it try to pass on its own; for larger stones they can go in and take them out, try lithotripsy (crush them & usually put in a stent for a week or two - not always successful) or for large stones, perform the most extreme - percutaneous nephrostomy: go through the back and take out the stone and put in a drainage tube for 1-3 weeks while the kidney heals.
I'm so sorry that you are unable to go to whoever you want; it took me 7 urologists before they finally found out what was wrong with me.
I hope this answers your questions and you are able to get the help you need quickly!
