I have Crohn's disease and polycycstic kidney disease so I am trying to figure out what disease or both is causing my right side flank pain. How much pain is associated with PKD? Is it constant or is is exagerated with physical activity? I would appreciate any adivice.

Hi Elizabeth,

I don't usually visit the Kidney forum but instead I am on the Fibromyalgia and Chronic Pain forums. But, my son-in-law was recently diagnosed with PKD and he has a similar problem too. They found the PKD when they did an MRI for bulging disks that are causing pain problems. So determining what pain is from which I imagine is hard.

You might try posting this on the Crohns forum to see if you find others who would have more insight on the problem.
