Has any one else suffered with this ? i have for the last 3 months now and in that time its cause urethritis, kidney infection, and epididymitis. i am going for a urethrogram tommorow, a bit nervous about the procedure, has any one had one? what is it like?

if this reveals a stricture i am then going to have a urethroplasty, again im curious to hear from anyone who has had this operation

Hi, I too have urethral strictures caused by having a hypermobile kidney (Nephroptosis). The kidney dropped 5cms causing renal colic type pain. It was not diagnosed for 5 years as the condition is not taught in medical school. A lying & standing IVU diagnosed it. Even when the kidney was stitched in place (Nephropexy) the strictures remained. They are thought to be due to spasm as they don;t always show up. Therefore as much as I would like the op you are having it wouldn't help! I take Diamorphine injections for the severe incapacitating pain.
