Hi everyone, i am new to this forum and wanted to know if anyone shares my experiences. I was diagnosed with nephrocalcinosis due to a parathyroid adenoma which was removed. The damage of high blood calcium was done and as a result my kidneys have large deposits of calcium and kidney stones, described like a sack of peas ! this was back in 2008-9, since then i have some lithotripsy and stone removal and stents put in, but although i am not one hundred percent stone free i decided to stop lithotripsy as they had no idea where the stones were and if they were hitting the calcium deposits or the stone areas as ultrasound images never hundred per cent clear, i was also worried about other side effects to the ultrasounds i was having... can anyone shed any light on their experience of this and what my future might entail, i still get severe pain attacks in my left kidney from time to time but keep on top of utis by drinking 3-4 litres of water a day.
Just want to know that i am not alone !
