Hello all. I am new to this board but not to the forums here. Guess I should start at the beginning. I had Novasure, an endometrial ablation in May. Since then I have had trouble urinating. I did not realize how serious an issue this could be. Well the surgery failed. I started having seriously horrible periods again. I went to the ob/gyn who performed the ablation on Thursday. I provided a urine sample, but he catheterized me and got out 730mL. So he sent me to a nurse at the hospital. She taught me how to catheterize myself. Then yesterday I had an emergency appointment with a urologist. He started me on Rapaflo. I took the first dose last night. I see him again next Friday. I'm having to use a cath more often than not. And I get 200-400mL each time. The ob/gyn is doing an ultrasound on my uterus in 2 weeks. I most likely will have a hysterectomy. The urologist didn't tell me what the next steps might be. Am I going to cath the rest of my life? Its painful. Can anyone tell me what the next steps might be?
