I had surgery in April to remove a small B9 tumor from my right kidney. They hit the renal vein causing me to loose 250 cc blood est. I was given a blood thinner to prevent clots. Sometime later they hit an artery causing me to loose another 600cc of blood. To stop the bleeding the kidney & adrenal gland was removed. I am not sure at this time what all happened to me in the 3.5 hour surgery. I just got strong enough to drive to the hospital & request my surgery report. 1 of my questions is: 1. Will my left kidney improve in function to make up for the right being missing? 2. When will I get over the Fatigue? 3. Is there any support groups for people with 1 kidney?

You should get over the fatigue, lots of people live with just one kidney. You have push the water though to flush the kidney that is left.
Very important.

Don't know about a support group. Do a search and see what you find!

Best of luck to you.

I know several people who have either had one removed or was born with just one kidney.

One kidney can do the job the body needs. Remember people do live donations of kidneys all the time.

My neighbor was born with one kidney and had a tumor removed from it about 5 years ago and is doing very well.

Take care,
Bill
