I wanted to post to let everyone in this great forum that Peter has given me the privilege of being a moderator here.

While I do not have any specific kidney disease I do get frequent stones and have had several surgeries to have these removed. I will do my best to help you find the information you ask for and offer all support I can.

My email is open for anyone who would like to contact me off the boards.

Take care,
Bill devil

Congratulations Bill. I think this is an important and much needed forum and it would be more frequently used with a consistent presence here.

I will help you anyway I can.

Thank you for taking it on.

Hi Bill,

Thanks for being the mod! I am very happy to have this site, I was hoping to find others that have what I do...well good for them that they do not : )  there are so many types of kidney problems that it would be hard to find anyone to cover them all (hopefully!).

I also go to nephcure that is another good resource.  I'm currently doing IVF and interestingly prior to that I got off the blood pressure meds which kept my ankles from swelling.  They swelled up again but now that I am on Lupron shots for IVF the swelling has gone down and less proteins in my urine again.....
UC Pancolitis: dx'd 2000; Remicade since 4/25/11, every 8 weeks. Kidney Disease (Minimal Change Disease): dx'd 2007 caused by 5ASA's (thank you sulfsalazine, lialda and asacol). Current meds: Remicade & prenatal vitamin. I feel better than I have in years being off the ton of medication I was on before.

Beth75-

It's good to hear you have found something that is working well for you.

I got a rare form of cataracts last year from a med I was taking. Not nearly a severe as what happened to you, but I can relate.

Take care,
Bill
