I'm new to this section of the board. I was diagnosed with kidney inflammation yesterday during my ER visit. They gave me cipro.

Can this turn chronic or is this a one time thing?

Thanks

OK yesterday I got a letter in the mail from the doctor who examined me at the walk in clinic on the 9th. They tell me that they didn't find anything in my sample although I was being told otherwise on that day. They tell me my symptoms are caused by dehydration or skin irritation (???). It also advises me to stop my antibiotic (Cipro) treatment. I went to the ER the next day and they have confirmed that I have a bacterial infection and mucus was found in my urine. They told me to stay on the antibiotics. What should I believe now?

If it were me, I would stick with the Cipro. With it being confirmed twice at the hospital, I'd be more inclined to go with that dx. But that is me.

Hope you feel better very soon.

Take care,
Bill

I finished my course and I insisted to talk to the doctor who wrote the later diagnosing me with skin irritation. I confronted her and she didn't have an answer. She wants to refer me to an urologist. Despite having finished my cipro I'm still in pain but not as badly anymore.

I sent to an urologist and it isn't my kidneys. They found some scoliosis and referred me to an orthopedist. He couldn't find anything either and referred me to a surgeon who I'm going to see today. No idea what to expect.
