I usually post in the CP forum. I don't have chronic kidney issues, but i thought maybe someone could help with with some advice on here. THanks in advance!

So I have had a raging bladder infection (is in kidneys too) for about 10 days(well dx"ed 10 days ago, pain long before that).
I have had now 2 antibiotic shots, a dose of Keflex(sp?), and 2 different anti-spasm meds. (who knew your pee could be so blue and orange lol).

Problem is the bladder spasms. They are horrible and will not go away. The only thing that has helped is some suppository I was given in ER. I had to go to ER bc I could not empty my bladder for over 20 hours. Urine is still "full of infection" (drs words) so got more abx and another shot of rocephin.

Only wondering why it says not to take this spasm med longer than 3 days? bc they just tell me to keep taking it (it really only reduces the spasms severity, as they never seem to stop).
The other day I passed out while voiding bc the spasm pain was so intense.

I drink water with Lemon Essential oil, cranberry juice, epson salt baths, use other antibiotic oils, take the meds, and still no relief.

Don't want to be dealing with this during surgery recovery too....

(also, will having this infection effect infection risk with surgery??)

thanks for any advice!

I know a UTI is nothing in comparison to what you all deal with on a daily basis.
I can't imagine living with this stuff chronically, so I give you all my thoughts and prayers
