Ive had 15/16 ureteroscopies, god knows how many stents and many yrs ago three lots of lithotripsy. My stone fragments from lasering always reform and my ureter is strictured. In april i had twin stents, in june 7mm stone removed and stent. Last wk 4mm stone lasered and stent in place as ureter is strictured again. Cant bare thought of twin stents again as soooo uncomfortable. Excellent surgeon but we're just not getting anywhere.

Hey there. I heard a couple testimonials from people who had the same issues as you. Recurring kidney stones, and they began using a good calcium supplement and now no longer have this problem. This sounded strange to me. I listened to a presentation by a doctor and he said that when there is not enough calcium coming from the diet over a period of time, the parathyroid gland secrets a hormone named parathormone which causes calcium to be takes from the bones and put in the blood, but because this mechanism is not perfect you can have too much calcium being dumped into the blood. Then then the calcium gets to the kidneys it combines with other things like oxylates and then u have a kidney stone being formed. Solution is, calcium supplement and it seems to work for quit a few people.

I need some advice. 10 yrs ago I had a pain pill adiction. Did some horrible things! Got off the pills and turned to booze. I have been sober for 7 yrs. The hospitals and doctors treat me so terrible. The doctor who put the stents in didn't give me anything for pain when I went to recovery. The pain was worst than childbirth. Still I suffered with no pain meds for 15 minutes, till my private doc called and had the surgen manage my pain.
