hi.. my father has been diagnosed to have a kidney stone on his right kidney.. it has a measure of 0,5 cm and has a CT number of +263 HU.. according to the doctor the only way to cure him for suffering severe abdominal pain is to remove the stone because it is like the size of the quail egg.. now i am just confused.. was it really true that 0.5cm would be like the size of the quail egg?

Welcome to Healing Well.

.5cm definitely isn't the same size as a quail egg, but my FIL had one the size of a buckeye they had to do the "sonic blasting" on, forget the name right now.

My largest was 10mm or about 3/8ths inch. They went in a broke mine up and retrieved the pieces.

Take care,
