Hey everyone… I just wanted you to know that after seven years of battling kidney issues, on May 20, 2014 I finally had a kidney transplant. if anyone finds himself needing a transplant or finding themselves having a down day with your kidney issues feel free to email me and I will be more than happy to chat with you! This disease can be very challenging but it is also rewarding and very odd ways! Keep the hope.

I have just been placed on the transplant list. My first appointment with the transplant team is a month away. My husband wants to be my donor. BUT, he had prostate & bladder cancer. The prostate was removed, as well as the tumors in his bladder. He has been cancer free for a little over a year now. I am trying to find info about people who have had cancer being able to donate organs.
At this time I have ESRD. My creatinine is 5.1 and my GFR is less than 7. I do my dialysis at home 4 days a week.

It depends on the type of cancer and what your transplant teams says! Hopefully all will go well for both of you and you can be transplanted in a few months!
