First, I have to say I have a doctors appointment in a few days for a physical. I intend to address this at that time.
Here's the story. I've noticed over the last 6 months or so that I occasionally will have what I think is a UTI. Smelly urine, a little back pain, then the urine gets cloudy and I'm not really voiding as much as I think I should. All of this within a matter of about 10 hours or less. It will get to a point where it's pretty intense and I think, I have to head to Urgent Care. I drink a ton of water and then use the bathroom one more time before I head out and feel as though I'm voiding a lot more than usual. Like a plug was pulled. Then no more pain. The next time I urinate I have clear urine. No pain. No odd odor. This has happened twice in a few months. I thought I noticed a tiny speck or two of blood both times. Really tiny. Having never set eyes on a stone, I couldn't say that is what it was at all. The second time I did go to Urgent Care. Although the doctor said I had a UTI I dont really think he looked very closely. I had only taken 1 of the pills he gave me and the issue had disappeared again. I thought of not taking anything just to see if it would go away on it's own as before but didn't want to chance it.
I worked in a lab and ran several urine samples throughout the day for about 10 years. I know what to look for in urine. My urine was very cloudy. So cloudy that I'm not so sure a machine would have been able to pull out bacteria or blood. He also said he didn't see blood. When the culture finally came back the report said it was all normal flora of the urine. Bacteria is not normal in the urine. Neither was the cloudiness I saw.
I'm not sure what is going on but something tells me I have some very small stones that are clogging things up every now and then. This happened again this week but no pain. Just very cloudy urine with an odor (nothing I ate) and I may have saw some pus in the urine but couldn't really tell. The next time I went to the bathroom I voided for what seemed like forever. Then, nothing. No more cloudy/smelly urine again. Like I'm flushing everything out.
My father had IgA Nephropathy and I recall him always having kidney stones. I tend to take after him when it comes to my health. I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything like this. It's just very odd. Thanks in advance for your input
