I was surprised to learn that after 3000 shockwaves I still have my stone.
The stone was first 8 mm and was located halfway down the ureter. After the lithotripsy, the stone had moved up the ureter and settled in the kidney. The size of the stone was reduced to 6 mm and I captured a few grains of sand (stone) during urination. No pain or side affects. I am somewhat disappointed with the lithotripsy. I am thinking about doing a second lithotripsy on the 6 mm stone. Has anyone had similar experiences?
