Well that was fast! I got a call from the doctors office she.s sending me at 10:00 from a brain/head scan. I thought they were going to do my spine too but the hospital said no.

I talked to the nurse this morning about my fear of switching anti-d's she said I shouldn't have a problem because I'll be going from one to the other right away. (didn't give me any comfort) she did say if I have any problems to let them know. I'm gonna do what Patty suggested though and call the pharmacist.

I guess she won't send me to a neurologist unless they see somthing on the scan.

The shot she gave me yesterday is really helping me back. I don't know how long it will last but I'll be thankful for what ever time I got with a almost pain free day.

take care all

love

carol

Carol,

Good luck with the MRI tomorrow. I hope it goes well. I'm glad to hear your pain is better today with the shot you got yesterday. Hopefully, it will last awhile! Take care and let us know how the MRI goes.

Carol,

What good news about your back. I really hope that the shot gives you relief for several months. When it wears off, ask your doctor if you can have another one. A lot of people have shots a few times a year.

Ask the pharmacist if your old anti-d is in the same drug class as the new one. If so, you should be ok. But follow your doc's instructions: call if you notice anything.

Good luck with the MRI tomorrow. I hope you have someone lined up to take you. Let us know how it goes. I'll be thinking of you!

Carol, I'm also so happy about the relief you got from the shot. Was it cortisone? I used to have to get cor***one shots in my thumb and they would last for several months. Lets pray that you have the same experience.

I'm doing ok, by the way...thanks for asking.

i look foward to hearing the results of your MRI and I know you'll let us know as soon as you hear from your doc.

Hi Carol:

It's amazing what those shots can do for us huh. I hope your MRI goes well tomorrow and that you'll get some answers. I think it's a good idea speaking to a Pharmacist about the anti D hope all goes well with that. Know I'm pulling for you as usual.

Love ya,
Barb

Hi Carol,

Wow, that was fast wasn't it!  Good luck tomorrow. Let us know how you make out okay.  I think the idea to ask your pharmasist about the anti d's is a good one too.  Glad the back is still feeling good!

Have a good sleep tonight!

Ginny

Well I'm home. Other than having my head in a football helmet for a half an hour being pounded on it all went well. The last 10 min. they put dye in my vein kind of may me a little sick so i'm setting here eating a sandwhich. They said it takes about 4 days. So I guess i'll know next week.

Good new the home health care people start tuesday. Bad news they start at 8 am sad . Yucko! but i'll take what I can get. 8 to 11 tuesdays and thursdays. That will be a big help. They can add a day if need be but we'll see how it goes for now.

ok gonna finish my lunch talk to ya later

thanks for the enoucragement

love carol

Hi Carol,

I know your glad that over with. Those MRI machines are soooooo noisey!! You would think by now they could invent something a little quieter. Hopefully, you will get some answers soon and feeling better.

I'm sure the home health care people will be a great help and relieve some stress, except for having to get up so earlier... redface . Keep us updated and take care. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
