The results are in.... everything looks ok and my heart is not enlarged (yayyy) I've got a few things going on with my mitral valve but does not specifically meet the criteria for mitral valve prolapse. But it was advised to consider SBE prophylaxis prior to invasive and dental procedures.

My pulse is still high and I can't take meds to slow it down because my BP is too low. She is going to keep an eye on it and see if it gets better after my thyroid gets straightened out, it's running kinda low right now, not even .5 She thinks the chest pains were joint pain. After going back on full doses of Plaq I haven't had anymore chest pains, so wondering if it was joint and/or muscle pain.

Thank you to everyone that helped me through this, this disease can really be scary at times. I'm glad I can come here and there's always someone that understands. :-)

Stacie, I'm glad the echo looked good overall. Now your doc can hopefully get the rest straightened out. Hopefully getting things adjusted for your thyroid will correct some of the other problems. ((((hugs))))

Take care

HI Stacie,
I'm so glad you found out what was going on.  I had the feeling it sounded a lot like my mitral valve issues. Are you scheduled for another echo in 6 months?  Hopefully once your thyroid is under control, things will really improve.  Amazing what things affect the heart isn't it!
Take it easy girl!!  Glad you filled us in!

Stacie, has your doctor looked into costocondritis? I have it although it has been quiet for several months. The pain was awful when it was accute. It's inflammation of the cartliage that joins the ribs to the breastbone.

Thank ladies, you are all so wonderful!

I am really not looking for things to improve when my thyroid gets under control as my pulse has been like this for years, actually my Endo is the one that brought it to my attention at my yearly visit with him, ummmmmm 3 or 4 years ago skull but we'll see what happens, I know the thyroid can do wacky things.

I am not scheduled for anymore test at the moment but I plan on talking to my rheumy about it to see what her thoughts are on everything. I see my PCP again at the end of August, if my pulse is still high I guess I should I ask her if she plans on monitoring it? We have to do the same thing with my kidneys, have to do a 24 hr urine test once a year..... what's one more test tongue

I do have costocondritis under my ribs and in my breastbone but this chest pain was different, it felt "deeper" if that makes sense. Whatever it was I want it to stay away!!!!

Victoria, LDN sounds very interesting, I'm going to read about this. Do let me know how you are doing on it and how the new diet helps you.

Thanks again, hugs and luv to all
