Well, when I saw my nephrologist on last Wednesday, she sent me straight to the hospital and I just got home a couple of hours ago.  I was in a massive flare and had to have 2 units of blood.  I was sooooo short of breath because my hemaglobin was really low.  I had several factors contributing.  I had bleeding ulcers, bone marrow suppression from the lupus and of course meds contributing.  Then I had hemmorhaged.  THey took off 25 pounds of fluid in 7 days!  Needless to say, I am a little weak.
I have to say, I received the most awesome care!  I was so impressed and pleased with the standard of care.  My kidney function dropped to 16%,  but it came back up to 34%, so we're just watching and waiting.  I am very thankful to be home.  I hope you all are doing well.  Love and prayers, Judy

I am so happy that they caught your fluid build-up so quickly! You have some great doctors, and, it sounds, a great hospital, too! Please be careful and take good care!

Judy, oh my goodness...  I'm glad you're home and doing okay.  That sounds like an awful thing you went through.  Good thing your doctor sent you to the hospital asap.

I'm much better, except, I now how cellulitis in my left leg. Has anyone ever had this? It is painful. It feels like a sunburn. It is covering most of my left lower leg. I had to have a venous doppler yesterday to rule out dvt, thankfully, it isn't, now i'm on antibiotics. I'm soooo weak! Hope you all are well. Judy

Wow, that is really scairy, but I'm so glad to hear you are doing better.  I learn things everyday on here that I had no idea that Lupus could do to us.  Hope you continue to get better.
