Steroids, immunosuppressants, and testing protocol

This article lists that because about a third of the world is now infected with TB (flying on planes can be bad) and it is a national security issue as a potential threat, being researched as a contributor to AI like disease, and can become active and be spread during immunosuppression, the article recommends doctors test people for TB before giving them immunosuppressants. It also cites the increase in extrapulmonary TB and lists symptoms/associated conditions for those who are interested. Early treatment is essential. We are lucky to be wealthy enough in this country that we can be treated if we desire.

Strangly enough the first person to suggest I get a TB test when I started having autoimmune symptoms was my opthamologist. I now get tested frequently due to the work I do.
