I have both extremes - when I get overheated, it takes quite a while for my core temperature to cool down again. I usually use ice water - to drink, for hands & feet, face and back of neck. Helps a lot, even if I can't get into AC quickly. And then when I get really cold, it takes a long while to get warm again - electric blanket, hot shower/bath, hot drink, heating pad.... Very definitely more severe since Lupus!
