I wondered about the butterfly rash....does the redness get worse after you wash your face and does the redness hide well under your makeup.
I keep a light red "butterfly" rash or sunburn appearance on my face all the time. It worsens each night and morning when I wash my face. My makeup covers it well, unless it is flared for some reason and then once I had to buy concealer makeup to hide it.
I am not diag with Lupus, I'm awaiting a diag of whatever....

Welcome to the forum kay.. I have the butterfly rash and yes it does get red you should use cool water and don't rub try to pat dry.My face is always red too, the makeup doesnt cover all but it helps. There are some people on the forum that have the same thing, sunburn red face rash ect. Stay out of the sun if you can when go out where a hat and use sunscreen, so the redness of your face don't get any worse. Let us know when you get your results. Take Care!! Debbie

Has anyone had experiences w/ acupuncture treatment along with Traditional Chinese Medicine for lupus or other AI issues?  I've just started a treatment program (encouraged by my rheumie).   I have been dx'd w/ fibro and CFS.....but not Lupus as yet.....although I think I just recently hit my 4th criteria with leukopenia with a recent flare.   I have a lot of confidence in the acupuncturist - who also thinks I am still dealing w/ chronic Epstein Barr as well.   If nothing else, pain control would be a huge benefit.  I just had my second treatment and I am ever hopeful.....anybody out there had some good results?
