hi all, I feel like a pest but.... Today I am having a new issue (as opposed to all of the other new issues I get each day - it seemscry) I am having itching and burning on old scars on my hands. these are not big scars but just cuts from even when I was a kid. on one of the scars on the back of my finger there is a blister or pimple forming in it. edit - I took a closer look at this scar (eyes are not what they used to be) it is not "a pimple or blister" the whole scar is raised and looks to be fluid filled. but as I said I have a few other scars on the back of my hand that itch and burn as well.

Thanks & Any thoughts ???? idea

I'm not sure what could be causing this, but lupus can attack the skin, so it could be something to do with that or it could be something else. I would take some pictures of it if you can so you can show your doc. If it doesn't get better soon or if it gets worse it would be a good idea to see your doc.

I have had this occur as well to scars. My dermo told me it was pressure urticaria...which is just what is sounds like. Sometimes if I have a tight belt on I will also get hives around my middle. This is apparently the same thing...your scars just happen to be in contact with your clothes and so they swell. It happens to me during flares.

Hi Shanes,

thanks shanes. I see what you are saying. I could understand that happening too. but these scars are on the backs of my hands. I actually think now that it was from spending too much time at Wal-Mart. Those lights do funny things to me!
