My rheumatologist is one of the smartest, most comapassionate physicians I have ever had. He got me back on my feet when I was sure I was doomed to spend life in a wheelchair. I just learned that he is leaving his practice at the end of next month. There are no rheumys in the area that can hold a candle to his expertise in spondyloarthropathy. This is so depressing. Thanks for letting me SCREAM. shocked shocked

AGGG! I hate that you are losing your doctor. I had a similar loss when my wonderful doctor died at 54. Screaming is an EXCELLENT reaction! (Why didn't I think of that?)

I really feel for you. I absolutely love and completely trust my nephrologist (who also treats my lupus). She moved a couple of years ago, but it was still within driving distance. I would be devastated. I'm very sorry you're going through this loss. Judy

I know your feelings too. I lost my primary doctor this year.  She knew everything about me. It was great reassurance to have her on my side.  It's a tremendous loss to lose a great doctor.
