I do the same thing. I double my dose. Maybe give it a night and see how you are tomorrow morning? You might notice a difference if you give it some extra time.
The handy thing is that you really can't take too much, right. If you need to up it another 20mg, you won't hurt yourself. At least you'll kick the flare hard if you go up to a substantial amount. You can always taper down if you find it's too much.
I did that in July. I was on 10mg, and felt a flare coming on. So I went up to 20mg and WHOA... Wrong thing to do. The flare wasn't lupus, it was Fibro. I felt wickedly awful on 20mg. So I came way down to 8mg and I felt much better!
