Hey Everyone ! So like in the last post.. I noticed how there is no Lupus Awarness. And I want to get awarness. As most of you know.. Im only 15.. and its horrible how there is no cure for all of us.. and we all suffer. I was thinking we can at least attempt to get some awarness by writing a letter to the Ellen Degeneres show. If everyone would write a letter to her about lupus.. they would have to say something. Just an idea. Let me know what you think. Thanks for your time! :-) If anyone has noticed they have been doing all breast cancer awarness month stuff on her show.. and even donating.
If you want to here is the link...

Hi Bigsanfer:

I'm sry that you have lupus like all the rest of us. I've had lupus for 21 yrs and it's done terrible things to my body. One of the meds I took to treat my lupus, I ended up getting blood cancer from it. So I truly understand your frustration with no awareness.

I will say back like a year or so ago we tried getting the Oraph show to acknowledge Lupus and do a show about it. They did do spot of lupus and totally misrepresented our illness. It was kinda brushed off that it isn't a serious disease. I would caution you about writing to various TV personalities and wanting a show about lupus.

I would say if they are willing to do it, that you make sure that they will give correct data about lupus. Negative information only makes it more difficult for us. I wish you well with your quest and I truly hope that you can get someone to represent us properly.

Best Regards,
dx fibro, SLE, glaucoma, cateracts, bells palsy, depression, migraine headaches, gastreopaersis, chronic anemia, RA,MDS (Blood Cancer). Tons of meds.
