Hi has any one had a morphine pump enserted in there stomach for pain if so does it effect your lupus. carolfer

Hi Carol, wow you must be in considerable pain. I am so sorry. No I have never had that before. I would think the obvious that they wouldn't give it to you if it would be bad for your lupus. Than again everyone is different. I hope you get some answers and some releif.

Hi Carol,

If its not personal . . . could you share what the pain pump is for? Just curious. But . . . SO sorry you have so much pain.

My sister had a pain pump when she was suffering from cancer. There was a port on her chest. The pump would release a drip of pain med at regular intervals and then she could get an extra burst once per hour if she pressed the pump. It worked well for her.

I've never heard of pain meds making lupus worse. Or are you asking if the port, itself, would cause problems?

Again . . . so sorry you are having so much pain.
