Hope this finds everyone okay as possibl.
So this is the consensus now. My vitiligo/hyperpigmentation, thyroid, diabetes, fatty liver disease, neuropathy, nerve damage, arthritis, scoliosis, kyphosis, djj, brain damage, asthma, and even possible metabolic problem are related to a single source it seems.
I reviewed the Mayo endos report and under the diagnostic heading autoimmune polyglandular dysfunction he wrote that they were going to test many glands including the adrenals and then in the last bit said they "recommend further adrenal testing in the future dueto the patient's history of a positive ppd." Positive ppd isa positive TB test.
They told me theydidn't "think" it spread, because they figured I'd be dead if it did, at least the infectious disease guy said that. But allthe docs agree that the massive attack on my endocrine and adrenals was responsible for the sudden onset of my illness. Genetic predisposition aside, it was explained that the nerve damage was due to my hig antithyroid antibodies developing antibodies to my nerves, and that mypituitary was messed up and my adrenals will die without treatment.
So now, it looks like what they implied wasmore true than they wanted to admit. Hile they assured me my TB hadn't spread, they were sending messages to the contrary to my doc.
Ah well. At leastmaybe they have finally solved the problem. I strongly urge anyone with latent TB to consider treatment, not only because its std protocol with patients on steroids, but because if they are right, this supposedly latentinfection really trashed my body. I guess its like Lymes inthat way.
Take care an just a note to show that some docs do believe in a disease role in autoimmunity and that some patterns of autoimmunity may signify a specific disease origin. I'm really nuts on insoniazid now so I'm not on theinternet much till I get better, need synthoid upped. Take care and best to all.
Love, Marji
