I just wanted to write a quick note that I probably won't be online much this next week or two.  Last week I had actually started to feel better and was starting to be able to do more.  Then, Monday I went to the dentist for what was supposed to be some routine things like taking out some old fillings and putting new ones in.  Well, she got into one tooth and the decay went into the nerve, so I opted to have it pulled versus having a root canal.  Well, the tooth wouldn't come out, so it had to be broken and cut out, so basically I ended up with oral surgery and stitches and lots of pain.  The whole thing completely taxed my body and I feel miserable.  I'm going to take time to try to recover and rest while the kids are at school during the day so I can still get them to their activities, etc.
I feel bad that I haven't been around a lot.  I think about all of you everyday.  Hopefully I'll be feeling better again within a week or two.  Hopefully this post isn't too hard to follow - I'm on some pain meds for my dental pain, so I'm a little out of it.

HI Hippi,
You rest and look after yourself.  Take whatever time you need.  We all understand.  Oral surgery is so hard to manage sometimes. Just give yourself some good healing time.
Lots of love

Hippi, take it easy and get better. My husband had complications from his dental work- 8 fillings and he ended up with severe inflammation, a cluster of 7 ulcers at the top of his throat and unable to eat for days. I got good news, no new fillings needed which means I have 1 in my entire mouth. Why no root canal? I face one eventually from the tooth that broke due to decay, we know that it will need one cause I was a hair's breath from the nerve when she did the repair. My biggest fear is of my teeth falling out. I have nightmares about it. I also recall how difficult my wisdom teeth were, I had them done by an oral surgeon and nearly died and no one knew why. I bled and bled and my pulse and bp bottomed out. I terrified the doctors and nurses. I really hope I never have to experience what you went through. My mother has lost all her bottom teeth and my grandma has 4 teeth left. It is scary. My dentist said sjogrens can damage the mouth really bad and said if mine gets worse we will have to have special floride trays made for at night.

*raises hand* I think I can take a guess at why you almost died Red. I too, had complications. I kept bleeding...I blew my blood clots. I think perhaps you never clotted, perhaps from a autoimmune disease thinning your blood..... To get my bleeding to stop, they had to pack it with that wretched stuff every 2 days for 3 weeks. FInally it worked.

Hippa, honey you hang in there. You are in our prayers.Rest while you can hon. Don't over do urself either!
