having sharp pains on the right side of my chest, particularly upon exhaling today, all day. Not gas and I have no gallbladder, got rid of that 4 years ago. Suggestions?

Hey Twinkiet!! I am sorry you are having so much trouble! about 2 years ago I was having horrible chest pain on my right side, it would hurt when I exhaled as well. I went to the doctor (this was before my lupus diagnoses) and they ran some test and didnt find anything too abnormal. He started asking me questions about what was going on and he believed that it was pain from stressing myself out. Could you be stressing yourself out about your health? I know this is a rough time for you but stressing and worrying will only make things worse.
Does the pain get less when you breath in shallowing or when you lay on your right side? You might try ibprofin or tylenol if you can take it.

I'm definitely stressing. I am in the middle of launching my own business and havng some anxiety about doing so in this economy, trying to make sure that I have adequate healthcare, trying to move from nj and ny and am very concerned about my health. SO YES I am stressing! I am n pain in daytime but cant tae effectve meds because I am not alert then to do my work or drive so I am in constant pain and feel distracted and unable to foc on gettnng my life on track. I picked up and left my like in ny when i lost my son last year in october and now I am attempting to get my life back and find some happiness and peace...

Pain is worst when exhaling, it stops and starts randomly....
