Hi Debbie, Amy, Pat, and Des:
Thanks for your well wishes and prayers. Well I went and saw my internal medicine doctor and she didn't have a lot to offer me. She said that all of my muscles are in a spasm state. So she upped my muscle relax from on tab twice a day to two tabs three times a day. She thinks that my Fibro is acting up and that's why I have so much muscle pain. My ankles, however are very swollen. She thinks that it's related to my RA. She also noticed that my mediport is sitting side ways in my chest. I was able to see the interventional radiologist and he took a x-ray of the port and confirmed that its out of place. He informed me that large breasted women have issues with the port staying in place, and that I'm obviously a large breasted woman
I need to have the port redone next week. My husband noted that I was still a large breasted woman in February why didn't they put a bigger port and stitch it into the muscle then.
It's a shame doctors don't always think of quality of life.
Anyway, I'm going to see my new Rheumy on Wednesday. I hope the appointment goes well, this Rheumy remembers me from when he was a fellow at WRAMC and they felt I didn't have lupus and tried to take me off all my meds. I hope he isn't biased and will look at the documentation that my previous Rheumy had to say. Please pray that all goes well with the Rheumy.
Nikita also had a doctors appointment too. Unfortunately we had appointments at the same time. So I didn't get a chance to speak with her doctor. He told her that her ANA was positive which we expected. He told her that's she's got some protein in her urine, but he said it wasn't lupus. He did say, however, she does have another test positive and didn't know what to say out it. He said he'd talk to the Pediatric Rheumy and see what she has to say. Please keep sending prayers and good thought to me and my daughter. I desperately need some relief on the pain scale I'm up to a 9 out of 10. I can barely walk on these feet and overall I feel terrible. I know that the offers I've had to treat my lupus and RA. haven't been successful and I need to just accept that this as good as gonna be. My counts are dropping but they're not bad enough for blood, or an admission to the hospital but it's a wait and see what my counts will do, and how I'm doing after same day surgery to remove and put in another bigger and sewed in port that will work good for me next week. I have the surgery on the 23rd. Thanks for reading all this stuff and I truly appreciate your support and love.
