Hi and Welcome to the forum. I was wondering if you are taking prednisone. Sometimes it can afftect your cycle. Have you had a gyn exam recently. I would definitely seek medical advice if I were you. Judy

Hi Laurentex,
Welcome to the forum.  The disease itself will cause an irregular cycle, and so will some of the medications.  I agree with Judy and would suggest seeing your doctor.

hey there. I wanted to post. I also have been having problems with periods however I am not on any meds except for allergy stuff and a multivitamin because I have yet to be diagnosed..a long and aggrivating story..I cant even get pain meds! Anyway, Im 21 and the menopause doesn't hurt women in our family till the 50's. My periods used to be 6 days long every 30 days with a moderate flow. Now the past 3 months its been 30-32 days and it starts out on day 1 spotting and eventually goes into a full period. Before I had my son in june 2007 I had to use the super absorbancy and it hurt so bad I cried. It had tapered off some after having him but just the past few months it has been weirder. After the first 2 days which are normal even though I can use a regular absorbancy it likes to stop. It started the 24th then by the 27th was gone. It stopped until the next evening and came back with just spotting and its so light I cant use anything but pantiliners. The 2 months previous it lasted 8 days total. This one seems to be doing the same thing. The color is even different at times. When I spot like that I also have no pain etc. The cramps and backache only happen the first 2 days when its normal and then go away. Does anyone have this problem? Can lupus mess with your periods and why does it happen? I hope you get it figured out too laura. It is driving me crazy lol -Brittanee
