My doc gave me samples of a nsaid pain patch called Flector, and I really think they helped. I slapped that sucker over my hip at bedtime, and it really worked. It stuck on well, and I liked that it was topical. I use a microwave buckwheat pad, and love it. On a bad day last week, I heated it up 11 times throughout the day I spent in bed. And, I was given one of those memory foam mattress pads, thinking, I was desperate enough to try anything, and am grateful to find it helps alot, too. Tammy, chest pain is really common with lupus, and important to have your primary doc do a cardiac work up to make sure it is not heart disease related. I had an ekg, blood tests, a treadmill test, and nuclear med scan that was "normal" so at least I am comforted to know my chest pain is a lupus symptom. (It's more fun to enjoy the chest pain when I am not worried about keeling over with a heart attack)
hugs to all,
God knows, even if I don't....
