I am not having a good day. Very tired, joints in my fingers aching, elbows aching, head is foggy, feeling very much like I'm coming down with something. But, I know I'm not, because I get this way every once in a while. It lasts a couple of days and then it leaves. Earlier in the year and last winter I also had nights where I would feel sick to my stomach all night, but I wouldn't get sick. I knew it wasn't the stomach flu or food poisoning, because I didn't have the other aches, high fever that went with it. After the first couple of times, I knew I just had to get through the night and eventually I'd feel better the next day.

Is this what happens to any of you with lupus? I haven't had my first rheumy appt. yet. I'm just trying to figure out why this happens to me. I'm really not looking forward to the next couple of days.

Thanks for any info. You all are great!!

Hi Alli, I'm sorry you aren't doing well. Did you try heating pads or ice? I use corn bags that I nuke for 2 mins first. they seem to help some.

Yes you symptoms do sound very formiliar. Unfortunately lupus seems to do what ever it wants to do. The first flare I had the same aches and pains. My friend spent the nigh and said I was crying in my sleep. I went to the e.r. and my temp was about 104. So that part is different. Than my legs from my knees to toes swelled up like water balloons. Hopefully you can get in to your rhumy soon.

You mentioned foogy brain that is pretty common. You need to write down everything that happens to you and use a camera if you get a rash or swelling or anything unusual.

I hope your dr. gets you some releif soon.

Sunshine, I hate to tell you, but that's what I feel like much of the time. Yesterday and today I've felt like I was coming down with the flu - no fever, but the fatigue, more joint pain than usual, and my whole body aches. I just get sooooo tired.

I'm sure you're anxious to see a rheumy and I hope you get in to see someone soon. Hang in there. Hot baths sometimes help me. And so does my cozy bed and a good movie.

Take care. Hope you feel better real soon. And rest!
