Do any of you get that butterfly rash only at certain times of the day or do you have it all of the time? I seem to get a very noticable reddness around 4 pm. and have it until morning and then it is just very light. Am I the only wierd one out there?

When i get butterfly rash it last for at least a week without going away. i had it on and off mostly on most of 2007, i still get emotional thinking about it. i wish mine only lasted a few hours. one thing that does only last a few hours is my ear gettng red ( i get red ears along with my butterfly rash) when 1of my ear gets read its usually when i get overheated under my hat outdoors. i use the roseacea cream my dermi dx for my butterfly rash right away and its gone in a few hours. i agree with mjld we are all a little weird. im new here and never heard the term lupies, lol i love it!!

It seems that stress is a really big trigger for my rash. I also notice when I get home from work, I guess its everything that went on during the day to bring it out. Headaches will bring it out frequently and I get them daily ususally around 2:00 so I see it then. Once I'm feeling better though, it usually disappears as fast as it comes on.

Mine seems to appear every morning when I first get going, then disappears after a few hours. When I am overtired or stressed the rash seems to hang around more. And anytime I am in the sun it gets worse.
Take care,
