Hi Everyone-

I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Rose and I live in Las Vegas, Nevada. Today is the last triple digit heat day, for which I am grateful. We will now go down to the 90's and 80's. I have recently been diagnosed with lupus mctd. I am still very symptomatic, I think I have been in a continuous flare. It seems anything I do wipes me out and I can't seem to get better. It is very frustrating. I am taking plaquenil400mg daily, prednisone 40mg daily, nuerontin 1800mg daily, methotrexate 7.5mg weekly, folic acid 1mg daily. Thank you all for being here and I will post more again soon.

Hi Rose,

Welcome to the forum! Sorry about the circumstances that bring you here, though.

I'm new here too....still waiting for a firm diagnosis, although my rheumatologist has started me on Plaquenil because he's pretty sure I have lupus, possibly MCTD. I also take prednisone and Imuran for autoimmune hepatitis.

I'm in Southern CA, and it has cooled down a bit here too. We had a day in the 70s today, instead of the 90s.

In any case, I hope that you start feeling better soon!

Hi Rose, welcome!

Sorry to hear of your diagnosis but it looks like you are on a pretty good treatment plan. I don't know how long you've been on your meds but it does take a while for them to get in your system, especially the Plaq and Mtx. I hope you find some relief soon! Take care and ask more questions that you may have.

Hi,Rose,I am new to this forum too.It is the best thing I have done for myself,and hope you find the same.The people here really participate,and have alot to offer. Welcome from another newbie.
