I have an appt with  rheumy next week.  had had intermittent increasing symptoms for 4 years.  2 years ago ana, esr and ra were negative.  I have tinnitus, flares of burning skin sensation and painful joints, frequent migraine like headaches, and flares of pain and numbess in feet and hands.
does any of this sound famliar?  None of the doctors I've seen so far have heard of the burning skin sensation.  Like a sunburn that hurts to touch but the skin looks normal.  No rashes or anything, no fever, no sun sensitivity.
thanks for any input

Hi Joeybubbles
I actually had that burning problem mostly in my upper body area shoulders chest and back, it is the worse pain imaginable. I did mention it to my rheumy yesterday and he told me it was from my lupus getting worse :( I am currently on pred isone 10mg but that doesn't seem to help. There was nothing I could do for that when it happened but take pain pills. Pleasee mention that to your rheumy there is no need for you to suffer. I hope that helps you some to know you are not alone with this issue. You helped me by sharing I thought I was going crazy. Let me know what your doc says. Good luck. Big hugs.
