Hello Everyone,

I'm having blood test done today can you tell me if I take a pain killer does that lower the inflammation in your body?Because I have excruciating pain I want the test to prove how much pain I'm going through. When blood test come back and it says AbnPositive what does it mean?

It really depends on what you are taking for pain. If it is an anti-inflammatory like Ibuprofen, then yes, it'll lower your inflammation. If it's an opiate, it works on brain receptors and doesn't affect inflammation. Some anti-depressants are also used for pain management, they wouldn't affect inflammation either. I would use to search for your pain medication and see how it works.

I'm not sure exactly what test you mean by "AbnPositive" -- in general, I've found a good place to look up tests and what they mean.
