Hey Everybody. I've had a sinus infection since January and congestion for years. I am reporting to the hospital at 5:30AM Monday for sinus surgery. My ENT found a hole in my sinus that wasn't supposed to be there. Behind the hole was a little pond filled with bacteria. So he's going to drain the pond, stitch up the hole, cut off all the scar tissue and swelling I've developed from infections, and repair my deviated septum.

I'm a bit nervous, but it will be great to breathe again. Love, Butterflake

Wow! I will say a prayer for you too. I didn't know these things could happen. Isn't the human body marvelously complex? God's finest creation. I hope it goes really well for you too. Nasty to be stuffed up for such a long time. I wish you the best.

Just wanted to chime in and say I hope recovery is going well!

I remember coming home from my balloon sinuplasty procedure and being so overwhelmed (in a good way!) by the well wishes I received on message boards and via email - it really put a smile on my face!

Take care of yourself and here's to a speedy recovery!!!

Hi everyone. I've been only catching cat naps due to all the steroids, but I'm taking it easy. The bleeding from the surgery is much less today than yesterday. Thanks so much for the well wishes. And yes Carol, Tim is a keeper wink  Love to all!

Hi Donna, First I am sticking my tongue out at you because I'm jealous. Firstly because you have a great boyfriend. Second because I have a ...........dog!
How are you doing? getting back to your self again? When they gonna cut down the steroids so you can get a good nights sleep?
love ya

Hey Everybody. Im having a flare and worn out. Amy, I havent had much sinus pain (a sore nose) but I had lots of bleeding the first day. My hemoglobin was 10.8 before surgery which is low and I'm sure it contributes to my numbing fatigue. I've been breathing thru my mouth mostly and Monday I get my nose cleaned out. I'm really impressed at how little my face hurts. I hope your surgery goes well! Love to all, Donna

Hey Donna,

Sorry that surgery put you into a flare, and that you are under the influence of the darning fatigue. That is sure not any fun! I hope everything goes well Monday when they clean out the nose -- looking forward to talking to you!
