Hey ladylani! Unless you have special permission from your doctor, I would not recommend you taking prednisone. Their are so many things that should be monitered by a physican while using pred. I would call your doctor about the way you are feeling. Also, could you stop at a pharmacy or store and pick up a thermomiter? You can get one for a few bucks and they are well worth the investment!!!

Hi ladylani,
I agree with Amy; please do not take prednisone unless prescribed by your doctor. My rheumatologist put me on prednisone and it's a step-down process; I was taking more in the beginning and he's gradually weening me off of them cause if you're not weened, then your symptoms come back worse. Take care and visit your doctor :-)

If you come off prednisone too fast your heart can STOP. Please follow doctors orders with this medication. This is not something to play with.
