Hi all,
I just got done reading what the sun does to some of you. I have the same symptoms...burning skin, nausea, feeling faint, and almost a panic attack feeling if I don't get out of it into the shade or even better air conditioned building. This year has really been bad...I have spent the whole summer in the house with the air conditioning set at 70 degrees...any warmer than that drives my pain levels sky high.
Have any of you had skin cancers develop? I had Basal Cell carcinoma on my nose in 2004 (had to have plastic surgery to reconstruct my nose after Moh's surgey to remove). Then last year had Squamous for the first time on my temple. I go to the dermotologist every 6 month for skin checks and just found out that I have developed Melanoma on my back...of course it is right on top of my spine. I know that you have a compromised immune system with Lupus but does the skin cancers play into this also?
Thanks Helen

Hi everyone. My name is Ray and got on this site because of Prostrate cancer and typed in Melanoma. I had a bad mole on my back several years ago. Biopsy said it was melanoma.Had it removed with out treatment and went 4 1/2 years and it came back with a vengence. Tumor in my armpit. Was removed Oct 18,2004 and diagnosed terminal the next day at 9 in the morning with the probability of 6 to 8 months. Went to Norris Cotton Cancer center and took extreme doses of Interfuron for a month and injections every other day for 11 months. Hey it worked and Doc's said my survival was 85% attitude (Plus the Man up above) So no matter what don't give up
