Hello, I am new to the Lupus board but have posted several times on the MS side. I am currently going through tests to see if I have MS. I received my blood and spinal fluid tests back and am curious about a few things. I tested positive for ANA, 1:160 speckled, however my Double Strand DNA test was negative. My Vitamin D and B-12 are normal as well. I am curious as to if there are some of you who have been diagnosed with Lupus who had positive ANA results but negative DNA's. Thank you in advance for any help. Thank you.

Yes, we can be diagnosed with or without a positive ANA. Generally, you need 4 of 11 symptoms for a lupus dx. Check out www.lupus.org for more information.
