I'm so sorry you are having this complication but the good thing is that you know it is a psychosis and not something really happening. I don't know what medications you are currently taking but some of our lupus meds do have these kind of side effects in some people. Are you eating enough? Sometimes when we don't eat or sleep the meds affect us more strongly and these sorts of fears become amplified.

It's always a source of stress to move into a new home and get used to all the different sounds a house makes in the night....you're body is just overreacting to these normal sounds - I know you are not crazy.

I sometimes get something similar where I am afraid to let myself fall asleep at night. I don't have anything specific I fear, just fear of sleep itself!!! So I understand questioning your sanity. Please talk to your doctors about this and ask if your meds might have this kind of side effects - or maybe its a specific med mix that's at fault.

Meanwhile, do you have a friend you can ask to spend the night? That might help keep you grounded till this gets resolved.

Lynnwood always has the best responses - all I can add is that I will be thinking of you and I know you are not crazy. It is so hard to explain this to non-lupus sufferers. Praying that the doctor is able to get this straightened out tomorrow!
Take care, Fran
