Ok, So i have had pretty bad joint pain that i have not been able to find relief from except using prednisone and now that my dose keeps getting lowered the joint pain has come back. So yesterday my rhuemy gave me some samples of voltaren gel to apply to the joints that are swollen and painful (can't apply to my whole body but to my very painful joints) and I will say it has taken away 60% of the pain! You apply it 4 times a day and so far, it has kept the pain bearable and almost gone!!

So if you haven't tried the Voltaren Gel, I would deffinatly ask your rhuemy about it. I have not had to take any pain medicine today, that is how good it is doing! And since it is a gel, thats one less pill to take, which is a plus for me!

Thanks for the info Amy. I had never heard of voltaren gel. My joints don't swell, but this sounds great for folks who need it. Love ya, Donna

I bought Voltaren Gel for the first time last winter. It's available as a non-perscription on the shelves in the drug stores. I love the stuff..works great for stiff and sore shoulders too. I found it worked great on my joints too.
