A few months back my ana came back positive and I was having a lot of joint pain and fatigue. The rheumy I was seeing did not work up my ana but instead checked me for sjogren's (which was negative.) I was thinking this all might have been from a bad reaction to wellbutrin but yesterday after being inside for the past few weeks we went outside for several hours in the sun. Today, I woke up with joint pain and fatigue. I now realize it was probably the reaction to the sun. I am going for a pre surgical work up this week and am going to ask them to give me a better work up. Gotta get part of my rotten colon out.  I was so optomistic this was all related to the wellbutrin since I felt better but I have been out of the sun. I just don't want to go back on prednisone or plaquenil. Ugh! I am in my late 50's and trying to keep working with all of this sure is tough.

Hi, am sry that i cant be of much help here. But just wanted to show some support I am new to this site. However not new to having Lupus.

Your symptoms sound very familiar to mines. And yes predisone and and plaquenil are the most widley used oral treatment for the disease but many others even on this site have been on different treatment and doing well.

I hope all goes well in your surgery :)
